Why Take Lessons?
There
is great value in taking formal kayak lessons. People just love to tell
others
that they “taught themselves” to do this sport or that sport. That’s all
good,
but the fact remains that every elite athlete, from Venus & Serena
Williams
to Lance Armstrong to Tiger Woods takes THOUSANDS of lessons… and hmmmm…
look
where they are now? They are highly successful athletes. The moral of
the story
is that “Lessons Work!”
Also,
even
if you do not plan on Kayaking in the Olympics any time soon, these
classes will teach you the skills needed to run the beautiful rivers in
the
area such as the French Broad, Nolichucky, Nantahala, and Green, in a
SAFE and CONFIDENT manor to eliminate accidents and injuries.
Why The
Asheville Kayaking School?
Located
only 7 minutes form downtown Asheville, Sitting on the bank of the
beautiful
French Broad River, The Asheville Kayaking School is the perfect place
to learn
a new hobby!
Our
school offers everything you are looking for from first -time boaters to
learning advanced play-boating moves. The succession of Classes and
Lessons are
abbreviated below.
